paperback pages [precious] - original poem

paperback pages [precious]

pages are precious
and so is the settled
inlaid ink
when the pulp
contains ancient truths
inscriptions scribed
by trembling hands
of terrorized children
taken victim
by history's drafts
so brutal
and forceful
bringing their petals
to new flowers
drawn
on precious
little
paperback
pages
