This is a piece about evolution that I stumbled on via the r/poetryofscience subreddit page. I was really excited to find this page the other day at work. There seems to be a bunch of other writers of there like myself who are interested in the intersections of social and physical sciences.
This piece was submitted by reddit user "mcscom" or Renwick Scott. The author recently got a PhD in immunology (doctor buddies) and also writes. You can check out his blog here: https://thoughtinfection.com/about/ or follow his Twitter @ThoughtInfected.
Cheers and enjoy!
In the immense chaos it's inevitable.
Replication supplants noise
Complexity supplants simplicity
Cooperation supplants conflict
Nurture supplants nature
Hope supplants despair
Culture supplants ignorance
Abstraction supplants modesty
The same flame that drives it, can easily consume it.
Chaos waits at the door.
