grasshopper brains - original poem

 

grasshopper brains

bugs will always
come and go
live not with fear
when faced
with their hundreds
of fusiform
yellow glass
beating eyes
affixed geometrically
atop their grasshopper brains
mesmorized
by the loss of time
and the transience of life
bouncing off
every blade of grass
drinking droplets
of morning dew
cumulatively drooping
under the weight
of Hydrogen rings
