yellow oxygen tube - original poem

 

yellow oxygen tube

I hope you never
have to seriously use
the dangling yellow
oxygen tube
hidden in the compartment
above your head
the other's immune systems
are too weak and loose
even under constant life support
let's face it kid
we are the last wanderers
on these solar balls
of ancient gas and dirt
left to fend
for only ourselves
God willing brother
