Spectral hosts for lingering ghosts
I wonder how many
ragged rotten spirits
peer at us
as potential spectral hosts
Through mirrored ledges
and planes poised planar
on the pear-green painted walls
craftily affixed
to equidistant vertices
yet –
We are either too pre-occupied
or too caught up
in the gushing sense of turbulence
to hear their tales
and read their lengthy biographies
Never recording them at accurate levels
for the rest of the world to hear
and wear like thrifted clothes
or either too skeptical
of superstitious fantasies
So we get dehydrated
bone dried – inside and out
so forgetful we become
that we need the moon’s drippings
to stay hydrated
Or else the wisdom of the sun
will burn our borrowed bodies
forcing our uncocooned cages of light
to flicker freely
in a world designed
on the basis of
electromagnetic disturbances
We just learn
how to clip the waveform
Prevent aliasing
from ensuing
on the captured EVP
